Antony Hewish FRS[2] (born 11 Mey 1924 in Fowey, Cornwall) is a Breetish radio astronomer wha wan the Nobel Prize for Pheesics in 1974 (thegither wi fellae radio-astronomer Martin Ryle) for his wirk on the development o radio aperture synthesis an its role in the discovery o pulsars. He wis an aa awarded the Eddington Medal o the Ryal Astronomical Society in 1969.[4][5][6]
