Angelica (Ἀγγελική) wis a celebratit dance amang the auncient Greeks, performit at their feasts. It wis thus cried frae the Greek ἄγγελος (nuntius, "messenger"), bi raison, as Pollux assurs us, the dancers wur dressed in the habit o messengers.
