The Aeolian Islands (Italian: Isole Eolie, pronounced [ˈiːzole eˈɔːlje], Sicilian: Ìsuli Eoli, Greek: Αιολίδες Νήσοι, Aiolides Nisoi) are a volcanic airchipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea north o Sicily, named efter the demigod o the winds Aeolus.[1]
