Adolf Friedrich Johann Butenandt (24 Mairch 1903 – 18 Januar 1995) wis a German biochemist.[1] He wis awairdit the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1939 for his "wark on sex hormones." He ineetially rejectit the awaird in accordance wi govrenment policy, but acceptit it in 1949 efter Warld War II.[1][2][3][4] He wis Preses o the Max Planck Society frae 1960 tae 1972.
