Älvängen (earlier Elfängen) is a locality situatit in Ale Municipality, Västra Götaland Coonty, Swaden. It haed 4,196 inhabitants in 2010.[1] It is locatit some 30 kilometers tae the north o Gothenburg. Älvängen is cried Ale Ceety an aw.

The P A Carlmarks rope factory wis locatit tae Älvängen. The day, thare is a museum in the auld factory locals that shows the rope productions in the early beginnin o the 20t century. The museum producit the rope for the East Indiaman Götheborg.
