Silistra Province (Bulgarie: Област Силистра, transliteratit Oblast Silistra, umwhile name Silistra okrug) is a province o Bulgarie, namit efter its main ceety - Silistra. It is dividit intae seiven municipalities wi a tot population, as o December 2009, o 127,659.[2][3][4]

Silistra Province is a tradeetionally agricultural province, mainly acause o its fertile sile. The province is kent for its pelicans an apricot brandy.

Besides the admeenistrative centre, ither municipalities are Alfatar, Dulovo, Glavinitsa, Kaynardzha, Sitovo, an Tutrakan.

The Silistra province haed a population o 142,000 accordin tae a 2001 census, o which 49.7% wur male an 50.3% wur female.[7] As o the end o 2009, the population o the province, annooncit bi the Bulgarie Naitional Statistical Institute, numbered 127,659[2] o which 25.6% are indwallers aged ower 60 years.[8]
