Sigh (サイ, sai?) is a Japanese black metal baund frae Tokyo, formed in 1990. They are creditit as being ane o the first Japanese black metal baunds when the majority o black metal in early 1990s came frae Scandinavie. They gradually shiftit frae a mair traditional black/thrash soond, tae a mair experimental, avant-garde style.

Sigh formed in 1990 in Tokyo, Japan. The baund wis signed bi Euronymous' (o Mayhem fame) infamous label Deathlike Silence Records an released their first full-length album Scorn Defeat on DSP in 1993, shortly after Euronymous' daith. The label ceased tae exist shortly efter his daith an Sigh changed to Cacophonous Records.

Efter major disputes wi Cacophonous ower promotion an album richts, the baund eventually foond a new hame at Century Media Records. Through this label they released their album Imaginary Sonicscape in 2001, which contained a mair avant-garde elements than their previous wirk. In 2005 they released their full-length Gallows Gallery through yet anither source, Candlelight Records/Baphomet Records. The baund is nou signed tae The End Records that released Hangman's Hymn an reissued re-maistered versions o Gallows Gallery an Imaginary Sonicscape wi revamped airtwirk an bonus tracks.

The baund wis featured in the 2008 documentary Global Metal. Their new album Scenes From Hell wis released on 19 Januar 2010.
