Ratchaburi (aften shortened Rat'buri, Thai: ราชบุรี (Pronunciation)) is ane o the central provinces (changwat) o Thailand. Neighborin provinces are (frae north clockwise) Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram an Phetchaburi. In the wast it borders Tanintharyi Diveesion o Myanmar.

Ratchaburi means, "The land o the keeng."[1] The province is full o cultural heritage, bonnie places, an historical sites. Ratchaburi covers 5200 square kilometers. It is locatit 80 kilometers wast o Bangkok an borders Burma tae the wast wi the Tanaosi range as a borderline.[2] It haes Mea Klong River throu the centre o toun.

The wird Ratch oreeginates frae the Sanskrit wird Raja meanin Keeng or Ryal, an the wird buri frae Sanskrit Puri meanin toun or ceety. Hence the name o the province literally means Ryal Ceety.
