Mohammed Ben Arafa

Mohammed Ben Aarafa, or Ben Arafa (1889 - 1976) wis a distant relative o Sultan Mohammed V o Morocco (Arabic:محمد بن عرفة بن محمد); he wis put in Mohammed V's place bi the French efter they exiled Mohammed V tae Madagascar.

Ben Aarafa wis installed in August 1953, he abdicatit in October 1955, while Mohammed V wis still in exile.

Protests against Ben Aarafa helped lead tae Moroccan independence, which wis agreed tae atween Fraunce an Mohammed V in 1955. He dee'd in 1976 in Fraunce.
