Kemerovo (Roushie: Кемерово; IPA: [ˈkʲemʲɪrəvə]) is an industrial ceety an the admeenistrative centre o Kemerovo Oblast, Roushie, locatit on the Tom River, east-northeast o Novosibirsk, in the major coal minin region o the Kuznetsk Basin. Population: 532,981(2010 Census);[3] 484,754 (2002 Census);[5] 520,263 (1989 Census).[6]

Bi 1859, seiven veelages existit whaur modren Kemerovo is nou: Shcheglovka (or Ust-Iskitimskoye), Kemerovo (namit in 1734), Yevseyevo, Krasny Yar, Kur-Iskitim (Pleshki), Davydovo (Ishanovo), an Borovaya.
