The Jenin Govrenorate (Arabic: محافظة جنين) is ane o the 16 Govrenorates o Palestine athin Palestine, it covers the northren extremity o the Wast Bank includin the aurie aroond the ceety o Jenin.
Accordin tae the Palestinian Central Bureau o Statistics 2007 Census, the Govrenorate haed a population o 256,619[1] livin in 47,437 hoosehaulds.[1] 100,701 inhabitants (or 39%) wur unner the age o 15 an 80,263 (or 31%) wur registered refugees.[1] Accordin tae the Palestinian Central Bureau o Statistics 1997 Census, the Governorate haed a population o 195,074.[2]
It is the anerlie govrenorate in the Wast Bank whaur the majority o control o land is unner the Palestinian Naitional Authority. Fower Israeli settlements wur evacuatit as a pairt o Israel's unilateral disengagement plan in 2005. It is govrened bi Qadoura Mousa.
