Groningen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣroːnɪŋə(n)], locally [ˈχroʊ̯nɪŋən] (
listen); Gronings: Grönnen; Template:Lang-fry) is the northeastmaist province o the Netherlands. In the east it borders the German state o Niedersachsen (destricts o Leer an Emsland), in the sooth Drenthe, in the wast Friesland an in the north the Wadden Sea. The caipital o the province is the ceety o Groningen.
