Karoga apraksts
„Karogs ir divpusējs: uz balta un tumši zila horizontāli dalīta fona ir Ludzas novada ģerboņa attēls.“[1]
Ģerboņa heraldiskais apraksts
„skaldīts ar viļņotu griezumu: zils ar sudrabu; 1.-zilā laukā augšupvērsts sudraba zobens ar zelta rokturi, 2.-sudraba laukā melna augšupvērsta atslēga“[2]
Karoga krāsas
zilā – Pantone 295C un baltā – WhiteC; ģerbonis – heraldiskajās krāsās[2]
Ģerboņa krāsas
sudrabs – Pantone 877C, zelts - Pantone 873C, zilā - Pantone 286C, melnā - Pantone black[2]
Ludzas novada karoga skice tika apstiprināta domes sēdē 2012. gada 27. decembrī. Karoga skici izstrādāja mākslinieces Natālija Losāne un Ilze Kukule. 2013. gada 16. jūnijā Ludzas novada jaunais karogs tika iesvētīts dievkalpojumā Ludzas Romas katoļu baznīcā.[1]
