Daliyat al-Karmel (Hebrew: דלית אל כרמל‎‎ Arabic: دَالِيَةِ ٱلْكَرْمِل‎) is a Druze local cooncil in the Haifa Destrict o Israel, locatit aroond 20 km sootheast o Haifa.

History

The toun wis gien local cooncil status in 1951. Housomeivver, in 2003 it wis mergit wi nearbi Isfiya tae create Carmel Ceety. In 2008, the commonties became separate ance again.

Tourism

The toun is famous for its colorful mercat, which is alive wi visitors aw week lang an especially on Seturdays.

Historical steids

The shrine o Abu Ibrahim, whom the Druze consider thair prophet, is in the auldest pairt o the toun.
