Church of Misery (チャーチ・オブ・ミザリー Chāchi obu Mizarī?) is a doom metal baund frae Tokyo, Japan. Church of Misery's style melds early-era Black Sabbath style doom wi psychedelic rock.

Maist sangs bi Church of Misery are aboot serial killers an mass murtherers. Efter several releases on sma unthirlt record labels, they released the EP Murder Company on Man's Ruin Records, then muivit on to Southern Lord Records tae release their debut full-length album, Master of Brutality. In 2004 they released their seicont full-length album, The Second Coming. That same year Japan's Leaf Hound Records released a compilation o the baund's early wirks. They released three split EPs, twa wi Sourvein an ane wi Deer Creek, an a live DVD o their 2005 European tour. They played the Roadburn Festival in 2008, 2009, 2010 an 2012.[1]

Church of Misery hae appeared on three compilation tribute CDs--tae Trouble, Black Widow an Death SS.

They managit tae perform their first tour o the Unitit States in 2012.
