The ceevil parish includes a number o hamlets apairt frae Berkswell veelage itsel. Berkswell railway station serves the veelage, but is actually closer tae Balsall Common than tae Berkswell veelage.
Berkswell teuk its name frae a 16 ft (5 m) deep, stane-wawed water well juist ootside the kirkyard o the 12t century parish kirk o Saunt John the Baptist. It is said tae hae been uised for baptisms bi immersion an can still be seen the day.
The veelage haes a veelage green an the stocks wur uised for punishin petty affenders. It is claimed that these wur especially built for a ane-leggit ex-sodger an his twa drinkin companions as there are anerlie five leg holes.
The Bear Inn dates frae the 16t century. The local history society run a sma museum in a 17t century cottage near the kirk.
On Windmill Lane is the protectit an restored Berkswell Windmill, a feene example o a touer mill wi its oreeginal machinery. There are several 16t an 17t century hooses in the veelage.
Local featurs include Marsh Lane Nature Reserve. There is an aw a sma Kirk o Ingland primary schuil locatit close tae the kirk on Church Lane.
