Bauta is a municipality an ceety locatit 25 miles (40 km) soothwast o the ceety o Havana, in the Artemisa Province o Cuba.

Bauta is a regional tradin center for the local ferm commonty. Regional crops include sugarcane, pineapple, tobacco, ruit vegetables, an citrus fruits. In recent years Bauta haes become a haven for Cuban airtists an muisickers.

Rio Baracoa crosses the municipality, an Playa Baracoa is established at its mooth at the Guwf o Mexico.

The municipality is dividit intae the barrios o Anafe, Baracoa, Bauta, Cangrejeras, Félix E. Alpízar (Corralillo), Cayo La Rosa an General Antonio Maceo (San Pedro).
