On 10 October 2003, she wis appointit Meenister for Migration an Asylum Policy in the Swadish Govrenment. As a consequence o the chynge o govrenment follaein the 2006 govrenment election, she left office on 6 October 2006, an in 2008 wis appointit the govrenor o Gävleborg Coonty.[1]

She haes been marriet twice. Her marriage wi radio journalist Thomas Nordegren producit three childer: ane son, Axel an twin dochters Elin an Josefin. Elin Nordegren wis marriet tae Tiger Woods, an American professional gowfer. Holmberg haes twa grandchilder, Sam an Charlie, baith childer o her dochter Elin an Woods.
