Arriaga is a ceety an ane o the 119 municipalities o Chiapas, in soothren Mexico.
As o 2005, the municipality haed a total population o 34,032.[1] It covers an aurie o 653.3 km² an is bordered bi the Paceefic Ocean an the neebourin state o Oaxaca, as well as bi the Chiapas municipalities o Cintalapa, Jiquipilas, Villaflores and Tonalá.
The name o the ceety honours Ponciano Arriaga, the name given tae it upon creation o the municipality on 28 Mey 1910. It wis given ceety status on 1 Dizember 1943.
