Arab League
The Arab League (Arabic: الجامعة العربية al-Jāmiʻa al-ʻArabiyya), offeecially cried the League o Arab States (Arabic: جامعة الدول العربية Jāmiʻat ad-Duwal al-ʻArabiyya), is a regional organisation o Arab states in North an Northeast Africae, an Soothwast Asie (Middle East). It wis formit in Cairo on 22 Mairch 1945 wi sax members: Egypt, Iraq, Transjordan (renamit Jordan in 1949), Lebanon, Saudi Arabie, an Sirie. Yemen joined as a member on 5 Mey 1945. The Arab League currently haes 21 members an fower observers. The main goal o the league is tae "draw closer the relations atween member States an co-ordinate collaboration atween them, tae safeguard their unthirldom an sovereignty, an tae consider in a general way the affairs an interests o the Arab kintras."[1]
