Alkeyevsky Destrict (Roushie: Альке́евский райо́н; Tatar Cyrillic: Әлки районы, Laitin: Əlki rayonı) is a admeenistrative[1] an municipal[3] destrict (raion), ane o the fowerty-three in Tatarstan, Roushie. It is locatit in the sooth o the republic. The aurie o the destrict is 1,726.8 square kilometer (666.7 sq mi). Its admeenistrative centre is the landwart locality (a selo) o Bazarnye Mataki.[2] Population: 19,991 (2010 Census);[4] 22,059 (2002 Census);[7] 23,031 (1989 Census).[8] The population o Bazarnye Mataki accoonts for 29.5% o the destrict's total population.[4]
