Al Murgub (Arabic: المرقب Al Murqub), sometimes spelt Al Marqab, is ane o the destricts o Libie. Accordin tae the 2006 census, the population wis 432,202.[2] The main ceety an caipital is Al Khums. The widely visitit UNESCO Warld Heritage Steid o Leptis Magna is an aa locatit in the destrict.
In the north, Al Murgub haes a shoreline on the Mediterranean Sea. On land, it borders the follaein destricts:

- Tripoli tae the northwest
- Al Jabal al Gharbi tae the wast
In 2007 the destrict wis enlairged tae include twinty-sax Basic Fowkcongresses (tounships) o wha haed been the Tarhuna Wa Msalata Destrict.[3]
